Biography of Ronald T. Smith
Ronald Smith, president of Smith Forensics Inc., has practised in
the field of investigative and forensic accounting since 1979 and
founded his own practice in 1987.
He has had the privilege of working on many assignments including
specific cases of note.
Ronald possesses a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Chartered
Professional
Accountant designation. He is a Chartered Insurance Professional and
has been
certified as a specialist in investigative and forensic accounting
by the Canadian
Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He completed the Harvard Mediation Workshop and the Advanced
Mediation Training
programs, both sponsored by the Advocates’ Society.
Over the years, Ronald has lectured and written on the subject of
investigative and
forensic accounting, including his book, Accounting for Damages: A
Framework for
Litigation Support.
He has been a faculty member of the Diploma in Investigative and
Forensic
Accounting Program, Rotman School of Management, University of
Toronto.
Ronald participates in various community activities and enjoys
woodworking and photography.
